Dear Bride & Groom, Congratulations on your engagement! You have many decisions to make in the upcoming months. Choosing the right photographer is an important one, as photographs will allow you to permanently preserve the memories of your wedding day. I approach wedding photography both as a photojournalist, and as an artist. I strive to capture the essence of your wedding day in a candid, documentary style, making it possible to preserve the memories without interrupting the flow of the day or requiring you to pose. I believe it is important to let you, the couple, tell the story of the day, so that your wedding album will ultimately read like a well-loved fairytale. Having been a bride I understand how quickly the day goes by, and I make a point to anticipate and document the important moments and traditions – the first kiss, the first dance, the cake cutting. I also work to capture the subtle moments that add texture and depth to your celebration – a private conversation between bride and groom, a father’s expression as he gives his daughter away. In addition to candid shots, many couples understandably want portraits of their wedding party and family. Portraits are important for family history. It isn’t often that extended families are gathered, and weddings are a wonderful opportunity for documentation. Although wedding portraits need to be organized, they don’t have to be tedious or overly formal. It is my goal to put you and your family at ease. Your formal portraits will be arranged with grace and style, and shouldn’t interfere with your enjoyment of the day. Black and white photography conveys the subtleties of both light and
mood, as well as the emotions of the day. It is elegant, sophisticated
and most importantly timeless. While I specialize in black and white,
color work is also available. The final prints will be assembled in
a custom album that can be displayed for years to come.
I am committed to turning your wedding day into a work of art. My clients have been delighted by my unique approach to traditional
wedding day photography. My background in fine art photography lends
itself well to weddings. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art
and Design in 2000 with a BFA in Photography. After graduation I worked in New York City, until settling in Texas in 2003. I currently divide my time between San Antonio and Fort Worth.
