My goal is to provide an ongoing documentation of the ever-changing expressions of your child from innocent newborn, to inquisitive toddler, to confident little-leaguer. I shoot in a documentary style making it possible to unobtrusively capture the spontaneity and character of your child. The results are candid portraits that turn daily life into a work of art. If you are looking for an alternative to traditional portraiture, you will find a fresh perspective in my work.

When photographing children, the best results are usually attained in a natural, comfortable environment. I prefer to shoot outdoors, or indoors when there is sufficient natural light. I will come to your home, or meet you and your child in the park or at another favorite destination such as the zoo. The shoot is casual in tone, and can include your child's favorite activities.

Black and white photographs capture the subtleties of light and mood, and allow a child’s personality to be the focus of the image. While specializing in black and white, color work is also available. The final custom prints are archival and acid-free to ensure the longest attainable life.

My background in fine art photography lends itself well to photographing children. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2000 with a BFA in Photography. After graduation I worked in New York City, until settling in Texas in 2003. I currently divide my time between San Antonio and Fort Worth.

Children change so quickly – photographs allow you to permanently preserve a piece of their childhood. My goal as an artist is to capture that which is transitory and fleeting, and to leave you with a work of art that can be treasured for years to come.
